So, are we pet-friendly? Do birds fly?! Your pets can stay with you for free – just let us know in advance so we can make them welcome.

But if you’ve no fur-babies of your own, come and spend some quality time with ours – animals are good for the soul.

An avid animal lover, Concetta brought a clan of 9 British Shorthair cats and 2 beloved dogs (See ‘The Tails of Dot and Dash’ to follow their adventures), with her when she came back to her beloved homeland in 2015! Her mantra is “no pet left behind” .

Tooraloo also hosts 6 pet cows, 4 born to Mums Annabelle and Daisy who were rescued by Concetta when she purchased Tooraloo. Enjoy petting Tooraloo ‘s Mascot Choccy, who Concetta rescued from Mt Tamborine – A miniature horse with a savage underbite, a big love of watermelon and penchant for nibbling  your food or floral bouquets if you’ll let him.

Tooraloo is also a haven for a myriad of natural wildlife, with our 12 acres of beautiful parkland farm acreage. Hear the kookaburras laugh at dawn and dusk in the ancient fig trees, see flocks of pink galahs on the lawn, spy endangered pigeons, or befriend a tawny frog mouth owl when the moon is high and he’s waiting for his moth dinner! There are also possums enjoying the mango trees and a myriad of other native fauna.

However, it is Australia after all, and no Northern Rivers farm would be complete without the odd reptile – so keep your eyes peeled for the slitherin’ kind too!
