Tooraloo Farm Stay
Tooraloo Farm Stay is the visionary creation of master fine artist Concetta Antico, world famous for her gift of Tetrachromacy, the ability to see 100 million more colours than regular vision! It’s set just moments from the heart of beautiful Byron Bay, on what was once the McSwan Family’s generational dairy farm. An original 1900s Federation Farmhouse, it still stands as a testimony to golden days gone by. Locals and visitors alike claim the property boasts some of the best views in the Shire. Perfectly perched on a slight hill, it gazes straight down the heavenly Myocum Valley, making sunsets breathtaking, while enjoying cooling sea breezes from the east.
Our Magical Grounds
Each of the unique accommodations – Historic Barnstay, Sunset Cottage, Visionary Villa and Swanky Shed – have been meticulously styled by Concetta, each a distinct take on her signature style of “Modern Muse Meets Heritage Charm” – read more about the restoration here.
Our pristine farmlands provide 12 serene acres of evergreen pastures. Private events, weddings or full site bookings will enjoy exclusive use of all Tooraloo’s amenities including the inground swimming pool, rustic cabana, gas BBQ hut, fire pit, and ancient fig tree cathedral. Rose and native gardens, citrus orchard and plenty of farm animals to adore are just a few of Tooraloo’s amenities and treasures.
Our Unrivalled Locale
Our fortunate geographical proximity to every major town and attraction makes Tooraloo the ultimate Byron Bay accommodation and event destination. On a clear day even the Byron lighthouse can be spied from the entertainment area, which is a real treat! A skip off the M1 turnoff, it is a mere 6km from Byron’s CBD and Main Beach, and minutes from Mullumbimby, Bangalow and Brunswick! Bike or simply walk 1/2 km to the famed “The Farm” – a morning’s stroll to enjoy a latte and the fresh-baked goodies found at their “Bread Social.”
Known as ‘The Colour Queen,’ Concetta Antico is a master oil painter and the world’s first artist with scientifically confirmed tetrachromacy – a rare genetic mutation allowing her to see up to 100 million colours, and making her hyper-coloured art sought-after globally. She is also a passionate arts educator, having taught more than 25k students in the United States the joys and techniques of oil painting!
Having recently returned home to Australia after a decades-long successful art career in California, she lives on the estate in her private Federation home abd houses her art in her art there and in her Visionary Villa!
